Competition News
The last 'fightclub' event on 22nd March in Weston
saw Jordan Stutter, Dean Kelly and Andy Bendall competing Full Contact
in the ring. Congratulations to all 3 fighters who gave great performances.
Jordan's bout was a real war against good opposition from Touchgloves
Gym which ended in a draw. Dean narrowly lost on points to a Weston
local in a 4 round Southern Area Title. Basher Bendall TKO'd his Weston
Warrior opponent in the 3rd round after a succession of knockdowns.
Thanks also to the Panthers supporters who came along and cheered on
the fighters.
The next Full Contact competition sees Andy & Dean
competing again, this time for English Titles, on Sunday 11 May at
Broad Plain Boxing Club, Riverside Park, Clement Street, (at bottom
of M32). Doors open 5:30pm, tickets are £15 in advance, £20 on the
door. Tickets are available now from your instructor.
The next Semi Contact event is a BIKMA show in Reading
on Sunday 1st June for both Juniors and Adults. We already have a number
of Panthers interested and have registration forms now, so speak to
your instructor if you are interested in competing.
Seminar - 5th July
As outlined in the last newsletter, we now have a confirmed
date for our latest seminar - Saturday 5th July, 1:00pm - 5:00pm. This
will be with a 6th Dan Martial Arts Expert on self defence and combat
techniques. This will highly benefit all students, especially senior
grades. There will be limited spaces on a first come first serve basis,
cost is £10. Speak to your instructor if you are interested.
Kit
We now have t-shirts & hoodies on order from a new
supplier in Bristol. Thanks for bearing with us whilst these have been
sourced, we have been trying to get decent quality at a decent price.
An account has now been set up with Blitz so let your instructor know
if you need trousers, thai shorts, hand wraps etc.
If you need any other kit or equipment, have a look
at the suppliers page on the website and email us or let your instructor
know what you want. You should be able to take advantage of a discounted
price thanks to the accounts that Jordan has set up
PS
Dean Kelly is planning to organise a paintballing day
out, details to follow, but let us know if you're interested . |
